Gearing up to start another round

I've started getting a plan ready for 2014. I'm tired of starting and stopping over and over, so I'm working on a workout calendar for the next full year. I have a dozen or so variety workouts so I hopefully won't get bored. I'm also committed to going paleo, or at the very least gluten free. I've got some new recipes pinned on Pinterest and I'm trying a few this week. Tonight's dinner is paleo chicken strips. I've also got a paleo Aebleskiver recipe for breakfast tomorrow. The same coworker who did the 30 day challenge with me is going to do the workouts with me over the next year, and she's already gluten free so this is looking like it will be an interesting year. I just hope I can stick with it this time.

3rd day is complete

The third day is where I fell off last time and I did it today. I slept through the night and woke up feeling refreshed. (I'm super sleepy after my workout, so I'm drinking coffee like it's going extinct) I was thinking about my first "test" of sorts to see if anyone notices my weight loss and I've decided Thanksgiving is that first "test." I get to see family I haven't seen for about 6 months, and I know my grandma will tell me if she notices a difference. Now I've just gotta stick with it and look for those results.

Slacked off

Okay, after that post saying I was loving getting a workout in before work I slacked off and didn't workout again until yesterday. I worked out too late (9pm) and ended up not sleeping worth a damn. I still managed to get up and do the 15 minute workout. My goal is to get through this week going every day and then reevaluate this weekend.

I planned ahead and made myself a breakfast scramble of sorts. It's 2 eggs scrambled and bacon & sausage. I was trying to do something like those frozen breakfast bowls, but I didn't want the potatoes and cheese. I just hope it turns out yummy. If it does, I'll be able to make more for part of the week. Now I've gotta keep planning my meals ahead.

Wow!

I'd forgotten how amazing it feels to get up and workout before work. I feel so much more alert and like my day has started off right. I'll admit that I almost reset my alarm for my normal time, but I'm so glad I didn't. Getting up only 30 minutes earlier was probably the best choice I'll make today. As I said in my previous post, an extra reason to reach my goal weight is because a trip to Hawaii is in my future, but I have two other reasons to do it: 1) so I can enjoy looking in the mirror, and 2) so I can get the hot guys I see but don't feel pretty enough to go for. (I know that guys shouldn't factor into my weight loss, but they do). I weighed myself today because I was curious how much weight I'd put on in the 6 or so weeks since I last worked out. I was surprised that I only went up a little (207.5lbs & 43.4% body fat to 208.6 and 43.8% body fat). That little of a gain shows me that I can maintain my body doing this workout a few times a week once I've reached my goals. I'm not sure that I've ever shared my ultimate goals with everyone so here they are: weigh 150lbs & wear a size 8. Well, off to get ready for work.

Beginning Again

Well, I fell off the bandwagon again. I got sick, then just stopped and when I was ready to start again I injured my knee. My knee isn't 100%, but I need to get back into working out regardless. I'm making sure to push myself, but not so far that I risk hurting my knee worse. It's hard getting myself back into a workout routine, but there's even more reason to get fit. A really good friend of mine just got engaged and I'm helping her plan the wedding. Their plan is to get married in Hawaii Spring 2015, so I want to get in shape for the trip to Hawaii. I'd love to feel confident in a bikini by then, and I'm willing to splurge on something fabulous if I get to that point. 65lbs in a year and a half is realistic. I figure 1lb a week and I can have it off by spring 2015 without a problem. I can do it!

Day 11

I've been really lax about posting, but I've been very busy. My car was in and out of the shop, so I was dealing with that for most of the past week. I now have a new car, so hopefully I won't be making any trips the shop any time soon. I still worked out every day except yesterday. I bought my car yesterday so I spent the entire day dealing with that and the entire evening helping a friend with computer problems. By the time I got home at 10, I was too exhausted to worry about exercising. The down side to taking yesterday off was I kept trying to justify taking today off too. I woke up feeling sick, so forcing myself to workout was really hard. I did it tho. Now I'm ready to crash.
