Going Well

I've been doing the Paleo diet for 4 days now and it's not as hard as I thought it'd be. I was bummed to miss out on my favorite Mexican dish when we went out the other night, but I know in the long run this is better for me. I read in Woman's World magazine today about a supplement called resveratrol that has been proven to significantly lower weight. It sounds like a quick fix and too good to be true, but I'm giving it a try. It's advertised in the store as a heart health supplement, so even if it doesn't help me lose weight it'll still benefit me. I've got a 2 month supply, so I'll take all of those and decide if I want to buy more. I really hope it melts off weight like the article claims, but I'm not counting on it. I'll let you know as soon as I see results (assuming I do). I really need to get a new battery for my scale tho...that way I can measure the pounds I lose. I probably should've taken a starting weight, but the lack of a working scale prevented it. I know what I weighed the last time I went to the doctor about 2 months ago, so I'll use that as my starting weight.

It's Paleo Time

Well, it's about time to order my dress for my mom's wedding and I'm starting to freak out. I haven't lost any weight as far as I can tell and the other 3 girls who will be up there are sticks compared to me. There's 6 months to the day (starting tomorrow) till the wedding and I'm going to do my best to lose the weight. My mom lost 60lbs in 6 months by changing to a Paleo lifestyle. I'm going to try the same thing. I called her upset because I'm worried about ordering a dress that ends up being too big by the time the wedding roles around and alterations not being able to be made to fit right. She brushed off my fears by saying that if we have to we'll buy a dress off the rack and not to worry about the extra money it'll cost. I'm glad she thinks losing the weight will be more beneficial than saving the money. I have a month before all of the bridesmaids are going to try on the dress that I fell in love with, so hopefully I'll be able to order a size smaller than I can now. I really want this to work so if anyone out there is reading this, please let me know. I could use the accountability.

I started over

Well, I started over trying to lose weight and get healthier. Today is day 9 of working out, although I haven't managed to get my lazy butt in gear to do today's workout. I have gained new motivation because I have dates to work toward. In 1 week my cousin is having her baby shower; in 17 weeks summer is here; 26 weeks till my birthday; and 41 weeks until my mom's wedding. I think those goal dates are going to help me stay on track. I'll try to post pictures when I've made some significant progress.

4 days in and still going

So, I skipped yesterday's workout...it's finals week for me and I found out yesterday that my 100 question final (which was today) was fill in the blank instead of multiple choice. As I'm sure you've guessed I wasn't prepared adequately for that, so I spent all afternoon and evening studying. I didn't take a break until 11pm when I drove from my study group with a friend home. I didn't want to be awake all night because I had worked out, so I skipped the workout in favor of sleep. (It helped, but I was still so stressed that I heavily broke out today).

I was scheduled to take tomorrow off for workouts, so I am doing yesterday's skipped workout tomorrow instead. I figure this'll keep me on track. I have another final tomorrow, but I feel prepared for it so I was able to do my workout. I did the full BWO+ and 1 core move (I counted my hoe downs as my second). I'm still sore, but I'm definitely drinking more water and feeling better overall. I have two goals for this weekend 1) clean out my fridge & 2) make at least one recipe from the cookbook emailed to me through the program.

Okay, that's all I've got to say for tonight. :)

Day 2 - Definitely Sore

Well, today I'm definitely sore. I did my full workout and did my KLT to the best of my ability. My legs were shaking by the time I was done. I have a workout schedule posted on my fridge so I get to cross off the workout when I've finished it. I start classes again tomorrow & go straight into finals week. Hopefully I'll do well on them. I'm gonna use my workout tomorrow as a break from studying...the length of the workout will probably reflect how much I want to avoid studying. Lol. Well, I'm too tired to write any more tonight. Hopefully tomorrow will go just as well.

Day 1 - Starting Up

Today I decided to spend this year working on myself. 12 is my lucky number, so I want 2012 to be my year. I'm hoping that by blogging every day I'll hold myself accountable & keep myself on track. I purchased a virtual coaching seminar using the T-Tapp program. It's 31 days of emails & support. I got this because seeing the emails in my inbox every day will keep it in the front of my mind. This month my focus is going to be on fitness. Each month I want to set a new focus so that I can make these habits instead of just short term fixes. With hard work & determination I will end 2012 looking & feeling better than ever. Any comments and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
